If asked which was the best and most successful affordable housing scheme built during my time as Portfolio holder for Housing your scheme at the above address would be at the top of the list.

Your consultation process with residents clearly showed them that these homes would be well built, well designed and a far cry from the run of the mill housing normally associated with Housing Association shared ownership style property’s. They were quickly sold, and some very happy tenants have occupied them since. There has been good integration between those sold on the open market and the Shared ownerships. More schemes like this would certainly help the housing shortage, and I commend you for pursuing this exception site. It has been for the betterment of the village , and those young people who would not otherwise have afforded their own property.

These 16 dwellings look as good today as they did on completion, this is a scheme which you should be duly proud of.
